How to delete your account
- Email ops@nirmand.com with the subject “Delete my Nirmand account”. Send it from the email address on your account, or mention the mobile number you sign in with.
- Confirm it is you. We reply within 24 hours and may ask you to confirm with a one-time password sent to your mobile number. This stops anyone else from deleting your account.
- We delete your account and the data listed below within 30 days, and email you when it is done.
Want to remove only some data and keep your account? Delete projects, photos, documents or AI images in the app, or write to ops@nirmand.com and tell us what to delete.
What is deleted
- Your profile: name, email address, mobile number, profile photo and city.
- Projects you own, with their spaces, shortlists, selections, notes, Family Voice questions, documents, bills, site records and expenses.
- Room photos you uploaded, and the AI previews and Final Look images made from them.
- The people and shops you added to your projects.
- Your push-notification token and app settings.
What is kept, and for how long
| Data | Why we keep it | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Payment and invoice records (amount, date, project, Razorpay IDs) | Indian tax and company law | 8 years from the payment |
| Records of a complaint, fraud check or legal claim involving your account | To handle it and protect users | Until it is closed, and as long as the law requires |
| Backup copies | Backups are replaced automatically | Up to 90 days |
| Technical logs | Security | Up to 90 days |
If you were a member of someone else's project, that project stays with its owner. We remove your profile details from it; messages or records you added there may remain in that project, without your contact details.
Before you delete
- Download anything you want to keep, such as bills, documents or AI images.
- Unused Bricks and any remaining Pro time end with your account and are not refunded (see our refund policy).
- If you own a project with family members in it, they lose access to it when it is deleted. Tell them first.
- Deletion cannot be undone. If you sign up again later, you start with a new, empty account.
